LISA Serves Up Healthy Snacks

Tired of those Snickers bars and diet Cokes? Are those honey buns dragging you down?

Thanks to Metro-North’s Healthy4U! team, you now have some healthier options to choose from in our new LISA vending machine, located in the 11th floor cafe.

While the new machine boasts healthy snacks, it’s also outfitted with new technology. Want some pretzels and hummus? You can either swipe your credit card, use Apple Pay or other cashless options.

Items like Naked Juice, fresh fruit, protein packs with cheese and nuts, raw veggie packs, Chobani yogurt, chicken Caesar wrap bites and more are available for purchase – with new items coming in!

“The machine itself is innovative,” said Healthy4U! team member Jeanne Naclerio, Manager, Business Alliances & Development. “It provides employees nutritional food options which supports Metro-North’s Healthy4U! initiative.”

Other innovative features of our new LISA machine include “smart” shelves, which detect each item you hand-pick, and an innovative video board which displays the name of each item along with its price.

Let’s say you have a hankering for carrot sticks. Simply choose your method of payment, open the glass door and take the item out. The item’s price will be displayed on screen as it leaves the shelf. If you change your mind, place the item back in its designated spot – before closing the door – and pick something else. Once the door is closed, you will be charged.

So, if you’re hungry for snacks that are – Healthy4U! – swing by the 11th floor café and see what LISA has in-store for you. And don’t forget to check back from time-to-time; more fresh choices are on their way!

“It’s a better alternative than what’s in the snack vending machine,” said Naclerio. “It’s quick and on-the-go. No line; no wait time.”
